ISRAEL
Inspiring Moments. Photo Moments.
One of my first trips in Israel after arrival was to Jerusalem; and of course a special visit to the Kotel. Standing in front of the wall thinking about where I am I noticed this stone was shaped a bit like Israel. A perfect sign!
It was like a miracle. After saying my prayers and absorbing the Jerusalem atmosphere I looked up to the wall to see two white doves. It was a truly special moment to say least. [Photo credit to my special friend Cassi Gewer.]
A feeling like no other is felt every time I reach this part of the Kotel Tunnels. This spot is approx. 10 seconds away from the center of the Earth and the place where Avraham was told to sacrifice Yitzchak. Many Jews stop at this spot in the tunnel to pray and feel the divine closeness to Hashem.
It is a strong Jewish tradition that you write a letter to G-d and place it in the wall. It is a spiritual belief that at the holiest site for Jews, there prayers have a direct channel to G-d.

This was taken at the shuk in Jerusalem. All the fresh and delicious ingredients that you're looking for can be found here with store owners shouting their prices back and forth.
The gold stones of Jerusalem make a perfect contrast with the green shutters while walking through the alley ways of the Jerusalem streets

The reflections of the rails at the Jaffa port. This spot hosts many restaurants where you can get fresh fish and salads and enjoy the calming shores and scenes of Jaffa
These caught my eye while I was walking from Tel Aviv to Jaffa.
The famous clock tower in Jaffa in the sunrays showing off its glow.
Mitzpe Ramon Negev. One of the most beautiful places I've seen. It made me think of the beginning of creation and what a beautiful world we live in. The feeling of complete serenity and bliss.
The Mitzpe Ramon Negev in the background. A beautiful place with a feeling of history and serenity.
Wanted to capture this moment of dryness on dryness. The Negev through the dry plants with the sun leaving a golden-brown colour all around.
Even in the desert there is a chance for something new. A new life. A new beginning. A new perspective. All of which I am looking for and have found in Israel so far. This was a reminder of why I'm here: to blossom.
After hiking the desert we had dessert - s'mores and a jam sesh around the fire with some old school tracks and acoustic guitar.
From a free 5am train ride (thank you IDF soldier) to a 2 hour bus ride - we made it to Tzfat. A beautiful, connecting and spiritual Shabbat in Tzfat, with free accommodation at Ascent Hostel (thank you Cassi) and lovely host families. Could not have had a better Joyous and Uniting Shabbat with my soul sister. (Photo credit: Cassi Gewer).
On a spontaneous trip to Tzfat with a close friend we heard a violin playing while exploring the mystical city. We sat to enjoy his music before Shabbat.
Walking through the Tzfat, you feel the warm mystical air brush against your skin, taking you into a total spiritual state-of-mind. Almost an ancient kind of surrounding, making you appreciate the history and present of Israel.
This work of art leaves me standing in awe every time I pass it. This is a gravity-defying piece of work is outside HaBima.
Every morning while waiting for my bus to work - this is my view. These flags remind me every morning of where I am, why I'm here, how blessed I am to be here and my thriving passion of Zionism.
This little spot is like a beautiful gem in the centre of the bustling city of Tel Aviv. A perfect zen zone to lay down, read a book, socialise, meditate and take in the greenery.
My workplace Radvision/Avaya held a Purim Costume Celebration during the morning hours of work. Nearly everyone did some sort of dress-up. I found a face painter and took advantage of the chag to get painted.
Purim was an all week celebration and it started with the renowned Afrojack and Nervo DJs performing at Gni Terucha. The doors only opened at 11pm! We partied till 6am - definitely one to remember!
